Robbie's Bio
Robbie
Bartlett has been performing in Louisville area nightclubs since 1982. Her talent and strong sense of musical direction is electric and engaging.
Robbie and her warm, smokey alto voice are heard regularly at popular clubs.
She started singing at the age of four and has a strong foundation in
blues and jazz. Her styles include music that complements the blues
and includes such tunes and artists as "Respect" by Aretha Franklin,
"Good Morning Heartache" by Billie Holiday, "Give Me One
Reason" by Tracy Chapman, and "Love Sneaking Up on You"
by Bonnie Raitt.
Robbie did 3 tours in Europe to packed houses each time.
When the Louisville Palace was renovated, Robbie was called to perform
in Stagedoor Johnnie's, the adjoining nightclub. When the Palace
booked Frank Sinatra, Tom Jones, Sheryl Crow, The Righteous Brothers and
many others, Robbie
and her band opened the shows. David Crosby and Graham Nash specifically
asked for Robbie Bartlett to perform before and after their concert.
B.B.King sent word back through his daughter (Shirley King) after
hearing me sing with her and her band, " Who is that? I like her voice".
Robbie is in high demand at outdoor festivals, weddings,
birthdays, country
club activities, and fundraisers.
